Dr. Sara Pezeshk is an accomplished architect and researcher specializing in sustainable design and digital fabrication. With a Doctorate in Design and an extensive academic background, Sara is now a Postdoctoral Fellow at Florida International University’s Institute of Environment. Her pioneering work on coastal resilience focuses on ecological infrastructure, blending digital design with environmental science to mitigate climate impacts. As the Principal Investigator for the NSF-funded Ecoblox project and Co-PI of an EPA-funded initiative, she develops AI-driven, modular seawall tiles like SMARTEblox and BioCAP, designed to enhance marine biodiversity and prevent shoreline erosion. Her research, spanning conferences and publications, has garnered recognition for its role in advancing biodiversity and coastal adaptation. Her work, widely recognized in academic and environmental circles, offers innovative solutions for a sustainable and resilient future.
